For a multinational company, operatig in automotive components sector, we are looking for a: PURCHASING DIRECT MATERIALS ENGINEER   The person will scout, select and manage suppliers in order to meet Division needs with effective purchasing processes and activities compliant with global procurement strategies and procedures.   Main activities and responsibilities: Develop, implement, communicate and monitor compliance between local needs and corporate procurement strategies and policies. Drive the planing and execution of  purchasing activities related to direct materials. Manage, develop and supervise the activities of the Direct Buyers. Negotiate and ensure implementation of price agreements; Suggest and participate in activities aimed at reducing costs and improving quality of purchased direct materials and meeting BL goals and objectives. Maintain relationship with reliable panel of suppliers for the main categories of purchased materials, in cooperation with Commodity. Respect cost targets and timing milestones of managed initiatives. Cooperate with Commodity to select best suppliers  for Direct Materials  in terms of costs, quality and delivery for all Plants of the Business Line. Conduct negotiations with suppliers with the aim of achieving best price, quality and delivery conditions. Ensure the promotion of customer focus.   Requirements: Economics or Engineering degree. At least 3 years experience in Procurement / Sourcing / Buying in automotive industry. English - advanced (mandatory). Negotiation. Purpose of the job The purpose of this job is to set-up the supply chain controlling and support the local management through initiatives aiming at optimizing our costs and deploying best practices. The position encompasses various topics and requires becoming the business partner for the Supply chain Function. Key responsibilities Create reliable relationships with relevant stakeholders to properly monitor the P&L and prepare analysis to support tactical and strategic business decisions that lead to improve service and customer satisfaction; Re-define and oversee the process of collecting and organizing analytical data with the aim of supporting operational decisions. Regularly performance variance analysis for the P&L line under his/her responsibility Support during business cases analysis Build new metrics and KPI; monitor the consistency of the data presented in the various company reports at different levels Supporting a culture of accountability, mainly focusing on the Supply Chain through the identification and analysis of key KPIs to support continuous performance improvement Ensure that SAP system is fully set-up and implemented.
