The person will scout, select and manage suppliers in order to meet Division needs with effective purchasing processes and activities compliant with global procurement strategies and procedures.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Develop, implement, communicate and monitor compliance between local needs and corporate procurement strategies and policies.
Drive the planing and execution of purchasing activities related to direct materials.
Manage, develop and supervise the activities of the Direct Buyers.
Negotiate and ensure implementation of price agreements;
Suggest and participate in activities aimed at reducing costs and improving quality of purchased direct materials and meeting BL goals and objectives.
Maintain relationship with reliable panel of suppliers for the main categories of purchased materials, in cooperation with Commodity.
Respect cost targets and timing milestones of managed initiatives.
Cooperate with Commodity to select best suppliers for Direct Materials in terms of costs, quality and delivery for all Plants of the Business Line.
Conduct negotiations with suppliers with the aim of achieving best price, quality and delivery conditions.
Ensure the promotion of customer focus.
Requirements:
Economics or Engineering degree.
At least 3 years experience in Procurement / Sourcing / Buying in automotive industry.
English - advanced (mandatory).
